Travel Theme: Silver

Silver — like a metaphor — is rather tricky. Sometimes it’s crystal clear and other times it’s a bit fuzzy as it comes in many shades. Sometimes, one has to look really hard to recognize it.

The silver colour can be dazzling but sometimes it’s difficult to identify, whether it’s platinum or silver.

Sometimes it takes someone / something else to point it out to us before we realise…aha! it is silver indeed.

If you can see silver in this photo, then you have an excellent eyesight. But if you place your fingers there, they will freeze.

Frostbitten birch trees can be quite silvery – very well captured photos for the theme – even I more like being number one than 2nd – so I like silver more than gold… 🙂 🙂

Thank you. You mean you might pass gold for silver?:-)

Beautiful photos. I just discovered that silver is one of my favorite colors. I work as digital creator of landscapes for a new comic, colors are kinda my job …:)

Thank you Jodee, and I appreciate your visit. I had a glimpse at your webpage, your work looks interesting. It must be a joy to work with colours in that context.

I’m glad you liked my silver association, thank you. And the last pic is about beautiful and electrifying Johannesburg thunderstorms:-)

  6. I was going to use the trees but wasn’t sure if they may be white either. I love your silver pictures. They are golden! 😉

Thank you. But yes, I struggled as well with the silver theme:-)

  7. Stunning photos. Especially the one with the mirror like reflection. Gorgeous. I could look at that all day long!!!

Wow, lovely photos. I found a new source of ‘natural silver’ the other day. Freshly picked plums with their waxy coat intact, when put in water, shine with a beautiful silver sheen in natural light.

Wow! Silver from plums. See how beautifully versatile is silver. Now I’ll take time to admire the plums before taking a bite:-)

I don’t think anyone has commented on your lightning shot. That shot was one of my first photos with my Father’s 35 mm Agfa camera all those years ago. Love it…love it

I’m glad you love the lightning shot. It does bring back memories of the Highveld weather in summer. I appreciate you visiting my blog, thank you.
