Well let me put it this way, there‘s always liquid of some form here:-). It seems to be raining all the time with different kinds of liquids.
In spring and summer, we say – sataa vettä, meaning it’s raining water
Then in winter – sataa lunta, meaning raining snow
and then in autumn (now) – sataa vettä / sataa lunta / mostly sataa räntää, meaning sleet (mixture of rain and snow).
The most liquid we have encountered thus far was this last spring. Because of warm temperatures, the snow melted at a faster rate, thus causing floods.
For those of us who live next to the river, it meant that we had to rely on boats to get by – it was like living on the island. We had to use canoes to the main road where we had parked the cars, if wanted to get anywhere.
OK, enough of the wetness, it would be nice to have some sunshine for a change. Wishing you a dry and beautiful weekend:-)

So beautiful K!
Here we are just too grateful for any liquid from the sky – other than hail of course
Enjoy the weekend!
Thanks J:-). Yes, most times it feels and looks beautiful but too much of the liquid accompanied by darkness could be boring.
That’s an awful lot of liquid, cocoa.
Those floods can’t have been much fun, even with the novelty of boat rides. I wish I could send you some Florida sunshine. xx
Yep! I could do with a little bit of sunshine right now. I leave home in the mornings for work, it’s dark and wet. I come home from work, it’s dark and wet:-P
Lots of liquid you have there Cocoa, wishing for a little sunshine for you.
*hugs*
Thanks dol. Sun seems to have flown with the birds down south:-)
Fairy tale stuff. Very pretty.
Thanks Footsy. It’s stuff I read about on the books when I was a little girl, never knew I would have the privilege to live it:-)
Hope you get some sunshine soon…
Sounds like it’s very damp where you are now, Cocoa! I hope the sun shines for you soon – what a great post for the theme
Thanks Dianne. We did get a glimpse of sun in the last few days. Things we take for granted, when I first moved here I didn’t understand why conversations are mostly about weather – now I know:-)
I love the journey through the seasons. Fun interpretation!
Thank you so much Naomi. I appreciate your visit:-)
Likewise!
Hope you’ve had some sunshine?
*hugs*
What a beautiful place. I would love to visit one day, but I would have to come when it was not too cold! Is that possible?
Of course, it’s possible to visit:-). All seasons are great here, summer is moderately warm and sometimes even hot if you can stand sunshine day & night – sun doesn’t set.
We always recommend winter to visit Finland, even though it’s cold, it’s beautiful, different and lots of fun if you are fan of winter sports:-)
